Happy birthday to Ithell Colquhoun, born on this day in 1906! ✨ Colquhoun (1906–1988) made this painting, ‘Attributes of the Moon’ 1947, while living between London and Cornwall. The abstract forms were created using decalcomania, a technique where diluted paint is pressed between surfaces to produce unexpected patterns.
