Audi is officially entering Formula 1 in 2026, marking one of the biggest shakeups to the grid in years. The German brand is taking over the Sauber F1 Team and rebranding it as the Audi works squad. Audi will debut its own power unit, developed in Neuburg, under the new 2026 engine regulations. Sauber’s Hinwil base will continue to handle chassis development, while Neuburg focuses on the PU.
