A Snohomish County family has filed a lawsuit against Roblox Corporation and Discord, Inc., accusing the popular online platforms of enabling the sexual exploitation of a teenage girl.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the lawsuit against Roblox for "flagrantly ignoring state and federal online safety laws..."

"It was the first time that a court ... analyzed the application of ending forced arbitration in a situation like this," said Pat Huyett, a partner at Anapol Weiss who is representing plaintiffs in litigation against Roblox.
