Tottenham Hotspur reportedly learn how long Rodrigo Bentancur will be sidelined for after the Uruguayan sustained a serious hamstring problem against Bournemouth.

The club have officially confirmed that Bentancur, a linchpin of their midfield, has undergone successful surgery on his right hamstring but now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The Uruguay international sustained the damage during last week’s dispiriting Premier League defeat away at Bournemouth,

During first-half stoppage time in the 2-0 away victory over Cheltenham Town, Glatzel felt his hamstring go after challenging for the ball in the corner and had to be helped off the pitch, before being replaced by eventual goalscorer Filozofe Mabete.

Spurs head coach Thomas Frank also said that Dejan Kulusevski is still at least "three to four weeks" away from training on grass.
